Description: The 4 inch lag pintle is sold separately and like other pintles its purpose is to support the weight of the hinged exterior shutters. The pintle is capable of giving as much as 2 ¼ inch of depth. By sinking the lag pintle further into the mounting surface the hinge offset is reduced. The advantage of the lag pintle is that you can achieve the exact offset desired instead of being limited to stock size pintles.
